Sudurpaschim Royals set a target of 124 runs against Janakpur Bolts in their fifth match in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Wednesday.
Losing the toss, Royals put to bat first, managed to gather 123 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in the 20 overs. Opener Saif Ali Zaib and Binod Bhandari made a partnership of 55 runs for the Royals. Brandon McMullen 11[off 17 balls] and Ishan Pandey [17 off 14] managed to score good runs.
Among the other batters, fall of the wicket came cheap with captain Dipendra Singh Airee bowled out for 0 runs, Harmeet Singh for 1 run, Aarif Sheikh for 6 runs, Scott Kuggeleign for 7 runs and Naren Saud 3 off 4 balls. Naresh Budhayer (9*) and Abinash Bohora(2*) remained not out.
For the Bolts, Kishore Mahato took four major wickets of Ishan Pandey, Aarif Sheikh, Scott Kuggeleign and Naren Saud. Sher Malla and Arniko Yadav took two wickets each while Harsh Thaker took a single wicket.
