Cricket Association of Nepal bids farewell to cricketers

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Sunday bid farewell to the national cricket team for the 19th Asian Games underway in Hangzhou, China.
Nepal will play against Mongolia on September 27 and take on the Maldives on October 1. Nepal will compete against one country among India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh after it go through the group stage matches.
Speaking at the farewell event, Rohit Kumar Paudel, the captain of the national cricket team, said that they have practised well and their goal is to win a medal.
“We have prepared well for the tournament. All the players are ready with the aim of securing a medal. We will do very well in the coming days,” Paudel said.
Bidding farewell to the players, the President of the Cricket Association of Nepal Chatur Bahadur Chand, promised that the new working committee would do needful to boost the motivation of the players.
Also speaking, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka said that they are trying to herald a new era of Nepali cricket.
