Sudurpaschim set up APF title clash

Sudurpaschim Province entered into the final after a resounding eight-wicket victory over Lumbini Province in the Lalitpur Mayor Women's Championship twenty20 cricket at the TU grounds in Kirtipur on Wednesday.
Sudurpaschim will meet Armed Police Force (APF) Club, who were assured of a final spot with a match in hand on Tuesday.
Sudurpaschim and APF have six points apiece but Sudurpaschim have played all four group stage matches while APF are yet to play their last league match. Province 1 and Lalitpur have two points each while Lumbini are at the bottom of the table without a single point in their kitty.
Electing to bat first, Lumbini were restricted to a meagre total of 72-9 after Laxmi Saud claimed four wickets, including three in the 14th over. In the run chase, Sudurpaschim hit 75-2 in 12.3 overs.
Lumbini opener Laxmi Chaudhary and skipper Nary Thapa were the only batters for Sudurpaschim to score in double digit figures. Chaudhary scored 26 runs off 29 deliveries that included three boundaries. Skipper Thapa hit run-a-ball 11.
The player-of-the-match Saud removed Saraswati Pun in the first ball of the 14th over, Madhu DC in the next delivery and captain Thapa in the last ball of the over. Ritu Kanoujiya pocketed three wickets.
In the run chase, opener Manju Bokati scored the highest 26 runs while Rewati Dhami and Bindu Rawal contributed 17 runs each. Bokati hit three fences facing 30 deliveries while Dhami hit two boundaries in her 22-ball knock. Rawal, who remained unbeaten, also hit two boundaries facing 17 balls.
Lumbini bowler Kritika Marashini took two wickets in her four overs, giving away 23 runs.
Lalitpur Mayor's XI will take on Province 1 while APF will vie with Lumbini Province on Thursday.
