Police on Friday arrested a man in Bhaktapur on charge of murdering his wife.
Sindhupalchowk local Santosh Bhujel was taken into police custody from his rented room in Jhaukhel Pipalbot of Changunarayan Municipality-3 for allegedly beating his wife, Parvati, to death.
The victim had sustained serious injuries after being assaulted by her husband. She died in the course of treatment at the Bhaktapur Hospital, police said.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
