An 11-month-old infant died by drowning in Bhaktapur on Saturday.
The incident occurred in Bhelukhel of Bhaktapur Municipality-5 at around 2pm after the baby, who was sleeping on a bed, fell into a container filled with water, police said.
The victim was rushed to the Siddhi Smriti Hospital but had already died, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Basanta Pathak.
