Upcoming Nepali romantic-comedy Lilly Billy’s principal photography came to a close after a 50-day long shooting overseas. The shooting concluded after its filming in the Turkish capital of Istanbul. The film is directed by Milan Chams, who has directed films like Paschatap and Bir Bikram, the latter of which went on to open the regular screening of Nepali films in Dubai and other gulf countries.

Producers said that over 90 percent of Lilly Billy has been filmed in England. The shooting kicked off from London, and then travelled to venues in Scotland and Turkey. An item dance featuring actor Pradeep Khadka and actress Jasita Gurung was shot at Edinburg, Scotland, before the team moved to Istanbul to film another love song featuring Priyanka Karki and Pradeep Khadka. As per the claims of the movie crew, both of these musical numbers will be highly entertaining.

Speaking to the Post, Chams, who resides in England, said briefly, “The Europe tour proved to be very fruitful and memorable.”

Made under the joint banners of Kafia films, Sudip Khadka Productions and Chams Entertainment, Lilly Billy is being produced by Sudip Khadka, Govinda Shahi and director Milan Chams himself.

“We decided to film overseas so as to promote and seek opportunities for the Nepali movie industry internationally,” Chams said, “Given that we can tell original stories, we can go on to leave a distinct mark in the global film market.”

Chams informed that the crew is soon moving to Nepal to complete the rest of its shooting. Lilly Billy features actors Priyanka Karki, Jasita Gurung, Pradeep Khadka, Anup Bikram Shahi, among others.

The film will hit theatres in Nepal on the eve of Nepali New Year, on April 13, 2018.
