Priyanka Karki and Saugat Malla who of late shared screen in Subarna Thapa-directorial Fanko are now slated to star together in Fateko Jutta. 

Fateko Jutta, according to producers, explores the criminal activities that has been plaguing the Tarai region, especially around the borders dividing Nepal and India. The producers say the film although touching upon such a sensitive issue, will also have comedy in it.

Fateko Jutta, which is being produced by Arjun Kumar of the Chapali Height fame, will feature, along with Karki and Malla, Buddhi Tamang, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, and Rabindra Jha, among others.

According to producer Kumar, the crew will start rolling tapes starting this Sunday in Birgunj and expect to release the movie in November this year. Kumar will also be composing the music for the movie.

Despite sharing screens in the movies like Sadanga, Shree Pach Ambare and Phanku, Karki and Malla have never played a romantic couple on screen. Both of the actors, speaking at the event organised to announce the project, said that they would be happy to explore their roles.

Fateko Jutta will be directed by Naresh Khadka.
