Final preparations underway for 1974 AD Live in Kathmandu
The concert, a part of ‘Rock Yatra 2’, is happening on April 5 at Hyatt Ground.
Post Report
Nepali rock band 1974 AD, known for hits such as ‘Parelima’, ‘Sambodhan’, and ‘Gurasai Fulyo’, is set to perform live in Kathmandu. The concert is part of Rock Yatra 2, co-organised by the band and Eleven Eleven.
Following the success of Rock Yatra 1, where the organisers aimed for a large-scale show, they have once again collaborated to bring this concert to life. The event will take place tomorrow at the Hyatt Ground in Bauddha.
According to Spundun Lama, one of the event organisers, this concert is designed to cater to audiences of all ages, unlike most events that primarily target younger crowds. “There will be food stalls and family-friendly entertainment. Since the band has a significant following among older audiences as well, we wanted to make this event inclusive for everyone. We’ve worked hard on the production quality,” he said.
Four different categories of tickets are available. The general ticket costs Rs999, the fan pit ticket costs Rs1,800, and the VIP ticket costs Rs2,500. Furthermore, the VVIP ticket costs Rs8,000.
The organising committee anticipates a crowd of 8,000 to 10,000 attendees. The gates will open at 3:30 pm, with the show scheduled from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
As the band celebrates its 30th anniversary, this event could mark their final performance in Nepal.
