Post Report
1974 AD are touring Germany as part of their 30th anniversary world tour. The band has already performed in half a dozen cities across the United States in May and June, followed by two cities in Japan—Tokyo on July 27 and Kyoto on August 3.
After their tour in Germany, the band will head to Australia, where they will perform in various cities throughout September, including Brisbane (September 4), Perth (September 8), Melbourne (September 9), Adelaide (September 12), Hobart (September 14), Canberra (September 19), and Sydney (September 21).
The band initially planned this world tour following their reunion in 2019, but the Covid-19 pandemic delayed their plans. “We had to wait until our 30th anniversary to make it happen,” said the band's percussionist, Sanjay Shrestha. He expressed the band’s joy in sharing this milestone with both old and new fans, adding that performing in America with the original lineup after nearly 22 years made the experience memorable.
Nirakar Yakthumba, the band's founder and bassist, reflected on his journey, acknowledging the many ups and downs. To mark their 30th anniversary, the band also collaborated with Artmandu to rearrange and release a music video.
