The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported the impact of a westerly disturbance across Nepal. Currently, Sudurpaschim Province is experiencing partial cloud cover, while the remaining provinces are partly to generally cloudy. Some areas in the central and eastern Tarai are blanketed by fog.

This afternoon, light snowfall is expected in one or two locations in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali. Hill areas are likely to witness partial to moderate cloudiness, while the Tarai regions are expected to remain mostly clear. Sudurpaschim’s hilly and Himalayan regions may experience light rain and snowfall in isolated locations.

Tonight, Karnali and Sudurpaschim’s Himalayan regions could see light rain and snow in some places. Hill areas are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with the possibility of light rain in one or two locations.

The Division has also forecast light rain in one or two areas of Sudurpaschim's hilly regions over the next 24 hours. Light snowfall is likely in a few locations in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim, and one or two areas in other high-altitude regions. Residents are advised to take precautions as the weather could disrupt daily life, health, transportation, and flights.
