Kathmandu’s Bhrikutimandap exhibition grounds came alive on Wednesday as over 15,000 visitors explored the opening day of the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2025.
Organised by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the five-day event is expected to draw more than 80,000 attendees by its close on August 10.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to policy stability and public-private partnership.

Spread across a sprawling venue packed with two- and four-wheelers, the expo showcases over 50 vehicle brands and unveils 35 new models. Many companies are offering festival-season discounts, making the event a key attraction for potential buyers.
NAIMA Chairperson Ritu Singh Vaidya highlighted the sector’s significant role in Nepal’s economy, supporting over 1.24 million jobs and contributing 7.13% to the GDP.

Organisers say this is Nepal’s largest-ever automobile expo, and with its clean, smart, and inclusive transport theme, it marks a collective commitment to shaping the country’s mobility future.
The expo remains open until 8pm daily.
