New National Assembly members sworn in
NA chair Dahal administerd oath of office to new members elected on January 25.

Newly elected members of the National Assembly (NA) took the oath of office on Monday.
Narayan Prasad Dahal, chairman of the upper house, administered the oath at a programme organised in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu.
The election for 18 vacant seats in the permanent house of the Parliament was held on January 25.
Roshni Meche, Somnath Portel and Sunil Bahadur Thapa were elected from Koshi Province, while Rekha Kumari Jha, Dharmendra Paswan, Ranjit Karn and Mahanta Thakur secured seats from Madhesh Province.

Similarly, Gita Devkota and Prem Prasad Dangal were elected from Bagmati Province, while Jagat Timilsina and Samjhana Devkota were elected from Gandaki Province.
From Lumbini Province, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Chandra Bahadur KC and Basudev Ghimire were elected.
Meanwhile, Meena Singh Rakhal and Lalit Jung Shahi were elected from Karnali Province, while Leela Kumari Bhandari and Khamm Bahadur Khati were elected from Sudurpashchim Province.
