Student wing of Dahal-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party demonstrates against petroleum price hike

The student wing of the Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party on Thursday picketed the central office of Nepal Oil Corporation at Babar Mahal, Kathmandu to protest against the price hike of petroleum products.
Students affiliated to the All Nepal National Free Students' Union chanted slogans demanding immediate withdrawal of the decision to increase the price.
Earlier in the day, the student union had demonstrated in colleges across the country against the price hike as well as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s December 20 House dissolution move.
In Kathmandu, some demonstrators were held in front of Ratna Rajya Campus.
The price of petrol has been increased by Rs2 per litre. As of Tuesday midnight, the prices of diesel and kerosene each has been Rs97 per litre, while the prices of petrol and aviation fuel have been Rs114 and Rs67 per litre, respectively.
