Nepal along with the world witnessed the final supermoon of this year on Thursday.
Coined by astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979, the term ‘supermoon’ refers to either a new or full moon that occurs within 90 percent of perigee, its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit.
Also known as the Flower Moon, this month’s supermoon is smaller in size than April's full moon, also known as the ‘Pink Moon’, which was the largest, brightest supermoon of 2020.
