Election fever has gripped Rautahat district with the filing of nominations for the third phase of local level elections in Province 2.

Cadres and leaders of various political parties and voters are excited for the elections being held in 136 local units of eight districts in Province 2 on September 18.

Parties have been filing nominations at their nearby election commission offices to contest the elections.

Province 2 has eight districts with one metropolitan city, three sub-metropolitan cities, 73 municipalities and 59 rural municipalities.

Various bazaars of the district are packed with the cadres of various political parties holding the party flag and electoral symbol.

Children, elders, women and youths have been gearing up for the elections.
