A 17-year-old boy, who had gone missing while on a trip to enjoy snow in Phulchoki hill of Lalitpur, has been found alive after a week in the jungle, police said.
According to DSP at Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato, Binod Silwal, the boy named John Tamang was found from the jungle during a search by his relatives. “I just returned from the place from where the boy was found,” said Silwal.
Tamang, sixth grader at Thasikhel-based Ajaya Sishu Sadan, had gone missing while returning after watching snow in Phulchoki. Eleven students of grade 5 and 6 including the school principal had gone on the trip.
Earlier, police had detained school principal Durga Bahadur Oli after Tamang’s parents blamed him for the boy’s missing.
