President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday authenticated Nepal's constitution (first amendment) bill-2072 BS'.
The Legislature-Parliament had endorsed the bill on January 23. It was then sent to the President for the authentication.
Sushil Kiorala led-government had registered the bill at the House for the amendment as per the consensus reached among three major political parties in course of addressing the Madhes agitation.
The bill was approved after having clause-wise discussion on it. The bill amended three Articles -42, 84 and 286 of the constitution.
