Loadshedding hours reduced
The duration of weekly power cuts in the country will be down to 47 hours from 55 hours effective from Saturday. According to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), the load shedding duration was reduced after favourable water-level in Kulekhani Hydroelectric Power Station.

As per the revised schedule, there will be six hours of daily power outage four days a week, eight hours each on two days , and seven hours on the remaining one day of the week. The schedule is applicable throughout the country, except for the region west of Lamki Chuha municipality in Kailali district. NEA has requested people to avoid using heavy-duty electronics after dark to help it in its bid to curb load shedding.
