Chief Election Commissioner Nilkantha Uprety, Prof Dr Bhagawan Koirala and Kathmandu Police Range Chief, Senior Superintendant of Police (SSP), Ramesh Kharel were also felicitated on the occasion.
While felicitating the personalities, diplomat Prof Dr Jayaraj Acharya said all Hindus should be cautious at a time when the Hindu religion is being subjected to attack from different quarters.
At the programme, Temple Management Committee Chairperson Tika Bahadur Adhikari and Secretary Madhusudan Pandey urged all to lend support to protect and preserve the Shikshalaya as an important social asset.
