A leopard was found dead in Punekot of Shailyashikhar Municipality in Darchula on Tuesday.
According to the District Police Office, Darchula, the adult leopard was found dead inside a water tank. The dead animal was handed over to the Division Forest Office for further investigation.
It is suspected that the leopard fell into the water tank while it attempted to drink water.
