Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested with 8.85 kg of hashish from ward 9 of Shailyashikhar Municipality in the district on Tuesday morning. 

According to the District Police Office, they were arrested for possession of the contraband on the basis of a tip-off. 

Further investigation is going on, said police.
