Rautahat
A bomb disposal squad of the Nepali Army disposed of a suspicious item found on the Rajpaida‑Thalahitole road on Tuesday morning.
The item, discovered inside a sack about 200 metres south of a school in Rajpaida, caused panic among locals. The area had been cordoned off overnight by joint security forces. The army’s bomb disposal team later rendered the item safe.
The Narayandal Battalion of the Army confirmed the item was not a bomb. It said bomb disposal teams are deployed in every constituency, with units stationed along highways, capable of reaching any suspicious item within 10–30 minutes.
