Three dead in separate road accidents
Fatalities reported in Arghakhanchi, Bhaktapur, and Nawalparasi West, police say.Post Report
Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Arghakhanchi, Bhaktapur, and Nawalparasi West on Sunday.
In Arghakhanchi, a car travelling from Malarani to Sandhikharka veered off the road in ward 11 of Sandhikharka Municipality, killing 26-year-old driver Nabin Nepali instantly. Police said the car plunged 800 metres down a slope. Nepali, who worked as a driver in New Delhi, India, had returned home for Tihar.
In Bhaktapur’s Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, a collision between a bus and a motorcycle in ward 4 claimed the life of Apsara Phunyal, 45. Phunyal, a resident of ward 7 in Changunarayan Municipality, was declared dead while receiving treatment at Bhaktapur International Hospital. Police have detained both drivers and seized the vehicles involved.
In Nawalparasi West, a motorcycle accident in ward 2 of Susta Rural Municipality led to the death of 45-year-old Dal Bahadur Chaudhary. According to police, Chaudhary lost control of the motorcycle, and he was pronounced dead at Crimson Hospital, Manigram.
