Nepal, USA 40th Joint Combined Exchange Training to be conducted in Kathmandu

Nepal and the United States will hold the 40th edition of the annual Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) Balance Nail from September 10 to 29 in Kathmandu Valley.
Issuing a statement on Wednesday, the Nepal Army said that a total of 42 personnel— 30 from Nepal and 12 American soldiers, are going to take part in the military exercise where the two nations will exchange their experiences and information on disaster management, search and rescue, human assistance and more.
Nepal has been holding joint military exercises with the USA, the UK, India, China, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Bangladesh, and Israel among other countries to better their strategies on disaster management, search and rescue, anti-terrorism, mountaineering, and fulfilling their responsibilities while serving in the UN peacekeeping forces, the national army said.
The US Army personnel are scheduled to arrive in the Capital on Thursday on a US Army aircraft, it said.
Meanwhile, a 10-member team led by Lieutenant Colonel Bibek Bikram Shah headed towards the United Kingdom on Wednesday to take part in the British Army’s Exercise Cambrian Patrol.
