Nepal records 99 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours
The new cases were confirmed through 1,635 tests.Post Report
Nepal continues to record an uptick in Covid-19 cases with 99 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 41 cases were confirmed through RT-PCR and 58 through antigen tests.
A total of 1,635 tests—177 PCR and 1,458 antigen—were performed during the period.
As of Friday, 6,022,509 PCR and 1,546,346 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll since the pandemic began stands at 12,020.
According to the ministry, 989,316 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 26 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 373.
Nepal on Thursday had reported 85 new cases.
