United Foundation Nepal has selected the most underprivileged schools in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts for a model project for educational improvement.
Under the project, the foundation will be supporting the education sector in the area for the next five years.
“Some underprivileged communities will be granted financial and technical support to construct and improve infrastructure’ enhance classes through computer labs, provide quality teachers, and equip those schools with a library, water supply and sanitation,” the foundation said in a statement.
The project will coordinate with the all-national private and boarding schools' association (PABSON).
The areas were selected under the chairmanship of Subash Neupane, joint president of the National PABSON central committee, Niraj Sigdel, founder of the United Foundation Nepal and Narayan Kumar Karki, President of the National PABSON Bagmati Province Committee.
United Foundation Nepal is an organisation founded on the initiative of Nepali immigrants living in the US.
