President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday appointed Advocate Dinmani Pokharel as the Attorney General of Nepal.

According to the Office of the President, President Bhandari has appointed Pokharel to the post on the recommendation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in accordance with Article 157 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Pokharel is a resident of Jhimruk Rural Municipality-4 in Pyuthan. The post of Attorney General is the chief legal advisor to the government.
