4 killed in Bajhang landslide
Four people, including three members of a family, died after a landslide buried them at Bayana in Khaptad Channa Rural Municipality-6 of Bajhang district on Saturday.

Four people, including three members of a family, died after a landslide buried them at Bayana in Khaptad Channa Rural Municipality-6 of Bajhang district on Saturday.
Police identified the deceased as Ujali Devi Thapa, 52, of Bayan, Khaptad Channa Rural Municipality-6, her daughter-in-law Maheshwori Thapa, 32, and Maheshwori’s six-year-old son Krishna Thapa and Mangal Thapa, 20, of the same village. According to the ward member Prem Bahadur Thapa, five-year-old Kabi Raj Thapa and Rikesh Thapa were injured in the incident.
Some of the victims were taking rest under a tree near Bayana Village and some were walking near the road when a land mass came cascading down and buried them. Ujeli Devi Thapa, her daughter-in-law and grandson, were heading towards Parichana to collect fodder, sustained injuries. They are undergoing treatment at the Patadewal Health Post and are out of danger now, locals say.
Following the incident, a joint police team from Khaptad Channa Police Post and District Police Office, Bajhang, had reached the village for a rescue operation.
Mother, children missing in river
DHANGADHI: The whereabouts of a woman and her two children, who have gone missing in the Seti river, are still unknown. Police said Dhauli Bohara, 28, of Adarsha Rural Municipality in Doti jumped into the river with her children—12-year-old daughter Radhika and eight-year-old son Surendra—five days ago. Police and local residents searched for the victims until Saturday evening, to no avail. The woman jumped into the river after a reported dispute with her family. (PR)
