Province 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel has said that the state can become prosperous through realisation of its development potential.

At an interaction organised by the Kantipur Media Group in Butwal on Friday, Pokharel said the provincial government will develop agriculture and business sectors while industrialising the state. He pinned hopes on Lumbini to attract tourists to the province. Businesspersons, academics and professionals attended the programme.

Kantipur Editor-in-Chief Sudheer Sharma said separate editions of Kantipur daily for the seven provinces were meant to incorporate all the provincial matters.

Chairman and Managing Director Kailash Sirohiya said the KMG had reached Butwal for feedback after the country embraced federalism. He said the suggestions would be implemented soon.

The event is said to be part of the KMG’s campaign to reach out to readers based outside the Capital.
