Coordinator of Naya Shakti Nepal Baburam Bhattarai has congratulated Pushpa Kamal Dahal on his election as the new Prime Minister. 

In a twitter post, Bhattarai congratulated his former party chairman Dahal and wished for his successful tenure. Bhattarai, a former prime minister, quit Dahal-led UCPN (Maoist) 10 months ago to form Naya Shakti Nepal. Bhattarai had a long political journey with Dahal including the decade-long people’s war.

Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa and Deputy Prime Minister of the outgoing government also congratulated Dahal. RPP-N had decided to vote against Dahal’s candidacy in the parliamentary voting.

Dahal secured 363 votes in a parliamentary election for the post of prime minister.
