Indians residing in Baglung urge Indian side to lift unannounced blockade

Indians who live in the district joined the demonstration against Indian move. They also participated in a goodwill rally jointly organised by the Joint Students Struggle Committee and Social Network for National Independence, Baglung. On the occasion, Jay Kumar Sharma from Nautanawa of Uttar Pradesh called on the Indian side to immediately withdraw blockade against Nepal. “It is unfortunate to impose blockade by any country against a close neighbour. The undeclared embargo has caused inconvenience to the entire people residing in Nepal,” he said seeking to keep the good relations between the people of India and Nepal intact.
Mahendra Saha from Bara said the people residing in Tarai-Madhesh, hill and mountain are all Nepalis and this mutual bond should always be kept consolidated. "India's unannounced blockade at Nepal-India border is wrong and is intolerable for us."
Indians and people from Tarai-Madhesh urged India to immediately cease the halt at border and demonstrate a conduct suitable of a good neighbour towards Nepal.
Ramesh Thakur from Birgunj was one of those participants representing the Tarai-Madhes community in the rally.
The Committee and Network will continue joint programmes of protest against India's move until the blockade is lifted, Network member Mukesh Chandra Rajbhandari said.
