One person died and another person was seriously injured when a tractor hit a motorcycle in Madi, south of Chitwan on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Suraj Mahato,20, a resident of Madi municipality-3. He died on the way to the hospital, according to police. Seriously injured, Jitram Mahato, 26 of Bharatpur-27 is undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Medical College.
The tractor (Na 4 Ta 1205) was heading towards Kalyanpur from Basantapur of Madi when it hit the motorcycle (Na 12 Pa 8114) coming from the opposite direction when the accident took place.
The tractor has been impounded while its driver Dipendra Praja has been taken into custody for necessary action, District Police Office in Chitwan said.
