NEPSE stalls at 2,600 mark amid sluggish movement
Index edges down by 0.33 points; turnover exceeds Rs5.94 billion as mixed sectoral trend continues

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index recorded a marginal decline of 0.33 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,600.20. The benchmark index dipped by 0.01 percent compared to the previous day, marking the third consecutive session that NEPSE has hovered around the 2,600 mark.
According to NEPSE data, a total of 61,824 transactions were recorded during the trading session. These trades involved 13.76 million shares, resulting in a total turnover of Rs5.94 billion—an increase from Tuesday’s turnover of Rs5.76 billion.
Out of the traded companies, share prices of 112 firms rose while 134 declined, and one remained unchanged.
Among the 13 subgroups, indices of banking, finance companies, investment, manufacturing and processing, microfinance, trading, and others declined. The remaining subgroups posted gains, reflecting a mixed performance across sectors.
