Finance Minister Yubraj Khatiwada and Nabil Bank Chairman Shambhu Prasad Poudyal jointly inaugurated the bank branches electronically amid a function.
The bank said the new branches were established at one of the most remote areas of the country as per the Nepal Rastra Bank’s instruction to have one commercial bank’s branch in each local body. During the event, Poudyal said that the new branches were opened for the benefit of the people living in remote areas rather than increasing the bank’s revenues.
“With the mission of extending professionalised and efficient banking services to cater to the banking needs of large and wide spread sections of the society, we will be providing full-fledged banking services to our customers through 12 new branches at rural areas,” said Anil Keshary Shah, CEO of the bank. With the addition of 12 new branches, Nabil bank is providing its services through a domestic network of 74 branches, 115 ATMs, more than 1500 Nabil Remit agents throughout the nation and many correspondents across the globe.
