Former king Gyanendra Shah on Monday met Chief Minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. Shah, along with his spouse Komal Shah, daughter Prerana, sister Shova Shahi and brother-in-law Mohan Shahi had reached Lucknow, the state capital.
The chief minister tweeted photographs of the meeting but did not mention particulars of the event. “Met with former king of Nepal Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah at Lucknow-based governmental residence today. Presented him a shawl and the logo of Kumbh as a token,” tweeted Adityanath, who advocates a Hindu state with monarchy in Nepal.
