Police has arrested a 17-year-old boy on charge of raping a 10-year-old girl at Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-3 in Khotang district.

The suspect allegedly raped the minor girl while she was asleep in her house on Saturday evening, police said.

He boy was apprehended the same night by locals and handed over to police. The girl, meanwhile, is receiving treatment at the District Hospital.

She had become unconscious after the incident. Police said the girl was under observation.
