The Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal formed a seven-member committee to manage protest programmes on Tuesday, two days after it announced a struggle aiming to foil the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.
The committee includes seven second-rung leaders —Brikhesh Chandra Lal, Keshav Jha, Manish Kumar Suman, Ram Naresh Raya, Sanjay Yadav, Kaushalendra Mishra and Indra Shrestha.
The party’s top leaders are expected to reach their home towns shortly. Chairman Mahantha Thakur is preparing to leave for Janakpur on Thursday, while the others are leaving Kathmandu on Wednesday.
