Matters of bilateral interests and mutual concerns were discussed during the meeting, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
The duo also discussed upcoming local level elections, issues related to infrastructure development in Nepal and implementation of the past agreements signed between Kathmandu and Beijing, said the PM’s Secretariat.
Stating that the government is in the process of implementing the constitution by holding local level elections, PM Dahal expressed confidence that China would extend positive cooperation for the same. The government has announced local level elections for May 14.
PM Dahal also expressed his belief that development programmes would move forward under China’s ‘One Belt One Road’ initiative.
Chinese Ambassador Yu observed that political and constitution implementation processes in Nepal would move ahead in a positive direction.
She also expressed confidence that Nepal’s infrastructure development will moving ahead positively and gain momentum in the days ahead.
