After Press Centre Nepal, a journalists’ association affiliated to CPN (Maoist Centre) failed to pick its unanimous leader, party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday named the association’s founding chair, Maheswor Dahal, to lead the new central committee.
However, the PM’s nominee was opposed by most of the delegates present in ongoing convention of the unity and demanded for an election.
Maoist leader Barshaman Pun, however, claimed that Maheshwor was supported by all the aspirants.
Other wings of the party had also faced similar situations in the past and thus have failed to make significant strides.
