Lawmaker Khadka passed away at the Kathmandu-based Neuro Hospital where he was undergoing treatment. The hospital, however, has not made official confirmation about the death of the lawmaker.

Khadka was travelling in a jeep (Ga 1 Jha 224) that overturned in a muddy road at Bhakunde, four days ago. He was on his way to Piunpata VDC to attend a religious function which was due to be attended by Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.

He had sustained injuries in his head and body and was immediately flown to Pokhara, in the helicopter that brought PM Koirala, for further medical treatment.  

Khadka was elected from Baglung, Constituency-1, in the CA election held in November last year.
