Oli, who arrived here in the district to inaugurate the ninth district convention of the UML, said no one can stop the drafting of new constitution regardless of any games being orchestrated under various pretexts to stop it.

“The new constitution will be promulgated whether or not the all parties arrive at consensus,” said leader Oli, “We must get into the process in both cases.”  He said the number of provinces cannot exceed seven and they cannot be carved on the basis of ethnic identity.

He underscored the need to write the new constitution on time by removing the political deadlock in order to take the nation on the path of development.    

Hinting at the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the UML chairman accused Dahal of pushing the nation towards instability by visiting various districts in the name of 22-party alliance.
