A fire broke out at a house in Civil Homes, Sunakothi, Lalitpur, on Sunday morning.
According to Lalitpur Metropolitan Police, the fire started at around 8:45am in house number 46, owned by Suman Dhwaj Joshi, after an oil lamp in the prayer room toppled over.
The fire destroyed household belongings, said Lalitpur Metropolitan Police Chief Sitaram Hachhethu. It was extinguished using two fire engines and a water tanker from the Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
