Humla
Humla has been experiencing continuous snowfall since Sunday evening which has disrupted the normal life of the locals.
Simkot, the district headquarters, is covered in one foot of snow while the northern region of the district is blanketed in at least 4 feet of snow.
The district has been recording daily temperature in the minus with the temperature dipping to minus eight degrees Celsius in Simkot.
The airport in Simkot has closed all operations and has grounded aeroplanes on the runway.
The drop in temperature has affected mostly the children and the elderly but the farmers are rejoicing after a prolonged drought in the region.
Here are some photos of the snowfall in Humla taken by Post’s reporter, Janak Bahadur Shahi.
