Nepal logs 68 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 959,093 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 6,461.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 54 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,501.
Similarly, 14 people tested positive in a total of 1,794 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 5,446,075 PCR and 1,076,912 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,135 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country reported two Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,947 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 959,093 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 538 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 6,461.
Kathmandu Valley recorded nine new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, five cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and four in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, 16 new infections were recorded in Province 1, nine in Madhesh Pradesh, 19 in Bagmati, one in Gandaki, seven in Lumbini and two in Karnali.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts are home to more than 500 active cases each, other eight districts host more than 200 active cases each.
On Sunday, 47 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another nine—two in Province 1, six in Bagmati and one in Gandaki—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Saturday reported 67 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 111 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Friday and 105 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Thursday.
