Nepal’s Italian head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese on Sunday announced a 23-man squad, including seven new faces, for international friendlies against Myanmar.

Annese has left out forwards Bimal Gharti Magar and defender Devendra Tamang. Anish Deula, Bimal Pandey, Simanta Thapa, Anjan Maharjan, Bibek Paudel, Santosh Khatri, Kushal Phuyal and Bishal Tamang also failed to secure their spots in the final squad from the preliminary list.
Defenders Chhiring Lama, Ashish Gurung and Anjan Rai have made into the national fold for the first time. Midfielders Utsav Rai, and forwards Dinesh Henjan, Gillespye Jung Karki and Hisub Thapaliya have also received their first call up.
