Martyrs Memorial ‘B’ Division League football club Madhyapur Youth Association and Bizz Education Consultancy announced a five-year sponsorship deal on Wednesday.

Madhyapur Youth Association Chairman Upendra Man Singh and Bizz Managing Director Hari Karki signed the agreement amid a function at the Madhyapur football ground in Thimi. As per the deal, the consultancy will provide Rs1 million to the ‘B’ Division club annually. The consultancy will increase the grant amount to Rs3 million per season if the club is able to secure a promotion to the ‘A’ Division League, according to Karki.

The club will use the Bizz logo on their shirts.

The club also renewed their kit sponsorship deal with Li-ning and UCAN for the 2022 season.

Singh signed a separate agreement with Li-ning and UCAN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rajan Maharjan. The club’s long-term partner Li-ning and UCAN, which also sponsors five ‘A’ Division League clubs, will provide kits and other sportswear to Madhyapur.

The ‘B’ Division League is set to start from March 2.

Madhyapur’s only appearance in the country’s premier division came in the 2012/13 season. They were relegated by just one point. Since then they have been struggling to find their way to the ‘A’ Division League. But Singh was hopeful of Madhyapur’s bright future.

“I feel very excited today. We will do our best this season and try to get a promotion,” said the former national team captain and goalkeeper, who also founded the club in 2008.

Li-ning and UCAN CEO Maharjan promised to continue the partnership in the coming days as well.
