Pokhara Avengers put 139-run target to Janakpur Bolts

Pokhara Avengers in their second match set a target of 139 runs against Janakpur Bolts in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Thursday.
Pokhara set the target of 139 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Pokhara improved their batting compared to their first game where they could score only 74 runs against Chitwan Rhinos and lost the game by 87 runs. Openers Dinesh Kharel and Andries Gous made a partnership of 32 runs before losing their first wicket.
Andries Gous 20 [off 16 balls] was bowled out by Lalit Rajbanshi while Kharel was bowled out by James Neesham. Avengers Captain Kushal Bhurtel continued his bad batting being run out at 6 [off 6 balls]. Pokhara lost their 4th wicket in 70 runs with Dilip Nath 11 [off 14 balls].
With wickets being taken down quickly by Bolt’s bowlers, Pokhara’s batting was handled by Mathew Critchley who scored 35 [off 30 balls], Raymon Reifer [17 off 20 balls] and Michael Leask, who scored 25 off 13 balls in the last over.
For Janakpur Bolts Lalit Rajbanshi took 3 wickets, James Neesham took two, while Muhammad Mohsin and Kishore Mahato took a wicket each.
In the second match today, Kathmandu Gurkhas are locking horns with Sudurpaschim Royals at 1:15 pm.
