On Monday, poet Abhi Subedi launched his new book, ‘Forever Arriving’, at Nepal Pragya Pratisthan in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.

The event drew notable figures from the literary scene—writers, academics, and political and social scientists, including professor Mohan Prasad Lohani, who was the chief guest. Also present at the event were Madhab Lal Maharjan, owner of Mandala Book Point and publisher of the book, academic and writer Arun Gupto, president of Nepal English Language Teachers’ Association (NELTA) Motikala Subba, and academic and theatre scholar Shiva Rijal.

‘Forever Arriving’ is a compilation of English poems featuring selected verses written by Subedi over several decades in the UK, Japan, Italy and Nepal. During the event, poet Subedi shared insights into the contexts and diverse themes of his poems, treating the audience to recitations of some of his personal favourites.
