Singer Adam Lambert talked about the swirling rumours suggesting that he's dating fellow singer Sam Smith.

Lambert told Ryan Seacrest on his TV show “Idol” that he and the "Writing's on the wall" hitmaker laughed off the online chatters, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Lambert, 34, was romantically linked to Smith, 23, after he posted on Instagram a photograph of them together.

"We bumped into each other at a club in New York a couple weeks ago and had few drinks with our friends," Lambert said.

"We're laughing and taking pictures and all of a sudden... who knows what. He texted me and we were laughing so hard, we were like, what the hell! I love the rumor mill,” he added.
