Post Report
The Kathmandu Pink Careathon is set to take place on March 22, aiming to raise awareness about women’s health and fitness. Organised by Leisure Port Nepal, the event will feature a variety of activities, including a women’s run and Zumba sessions. Open to women of all age groups, the initiative encourages women to prioritise their well-being despite their busy daily routines.
Speaking at a press meet in Kathmandu on Thursday, Namraj Joshi, president of Leisure Port Nepal, said, “Women often dedicate their time to household responsibilities and daily chores, leaving little room for personal health. This event encourages them to take a break and focus on their fitness.”
Organisers anticipate a turnout of 2,500 to 3,000 participants this year. Actress Usha Rajak has been announced as the event’s goodwill ambassador.
Previously known as Kathmandu Pinkathon, the event has been rebranded as Kathmandu Pink Careathon. Leisure Port Nepal hosted the Kathmandu Pinkathon for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019.
However, the event was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and other factors, but it was held again in 2024.
